HW for Wednesday, 9/4

Complete PSAT Practice Worksheet #1 (Reading Section).

Daily Warm Up for Wednesday, 9/4

Try this activity.
http://www.sadlier-oxford.com/phonics/analogies/analogiesx.htm

Need help?

Analogies work like this . . .

Dog : leash :: Horse : reins

A dog is to a leash as a horse is to reins.

Here's another:

Surf : summer :: Ski : winter

So . . . surfing is to summer as skiing is to winter.

One trick to solving these is to put the words in a sentence . . .

A DOG is lead by a LEASH and a HORSE is lead by REINS.
People SURF in the SUMMER and SKI in the WINTER.

Get it?

Good luck!
